Oddities South of Paradise.

When you drive into the back roads of Northern Utah, you'll definitely get into the more smaller town, city vibes. Along with this, you'll see things you, most likely, only see on the History Channel or antique roadshows. I remember as a kid, driving through these back roads with the family just to drive. Back then, we had an atlas. No MapQuest, no Google Maps, Android Auto. Keep an atlas handy and hopefully it's updated.

But it was during many of these drives, I always found comfort in exploring. Seeing roadside attractions that you wouldn't find anywhere else. You'll also see the roadside fruit/honey/milk/egg stands that still used the honor system. Pay for what you take, when no one was there or watching.

Especially in Utah, you'd be sure to find some odd trinkets in the back roads. It was always an experience to take a drive on the back roads during sunset. The surrounding fields getting watered and smelling the hay. The mosquitoes coming out.
